The Department of Health, Culture and Sports
The Department of Health, Culture and Sports is a unit positioned at the heart of student life at Üsküdar University, operating with the aim of supporting students’ cultural, social, athletic, and psychological development.
HCS coordinates the activities of student clubs within the university, ensures the planning and execution of events, and creates a participatory, accessible, and sustainable environment in campus life.
About Us
The Department of Health, Culture and Sports aims to provide a holistic university experience by supporting not only the academic development of students but also their social, cultural, and physical growth. Through all its units, it offers students opportunities for events, projects, volunteering, and various support services.
HCS continues its activities with the vision of increasing student satisfaction, revealing students’ talents and volunteer potential, and leading projects that add value to society.

Scope of Services
• Management of student club establishment, operation, and supervision processes
• Organization of cultural–arts and sports events within the university and between universities
• Coordination of psychological, social, cultural, and health support services
• Accessibility efforts to ensure the full participation of students with disabilities in academic processes
• Communication, visibility, and data reporting through digital channels
HCS Units
The units within the Department of Health, Culture and Sports provide student support and coordination services across various areas:
Culture Unit: Manages student clubs, event planning, and venue allocation processes.
Sports Unit: Oversees team tryouts, facility scheduling, and tournament organization.
Solution Center: A digital platform where student requests are submitted and tracked.
International Student Office: Manages support and adaptation processes for international students.
Psychological Counseling: Provides guidance for students’ emotional and academic well-being.
Disability Support Unit: Ensures accessibility and equal participation on campus.
Health Unit: Provides on-campus health counseling and referrals.
HCS Digital Channels: Manages the website, mobile app, social media platforms, and UniLife magazine.

Event Process Flow
All events conducted under HCS are planned and managed through a defined workflow:
1️⃣ Event requests are submitted by the relevant student club or student unit through the Culture Unit.
2️⃣ HCS conducts an evaluation based on suitability, content, and safety; date and venue are finalized.
3️⃣ Approved events are published in the Event Calendar.
4️⃣ After the event, outcome reports and media records are archived.
