Reading Soccer: From the Field to the Media

Organized by the Young Communicators Club, this event will explore the perspective that soccer is not merely a sport played on the field, but also a powerful tool for communication, media, and storytelling. The event will examine how soccer is represented in the media, the language of sports journalism and commentary, news production processes, and soccer’s power to shape public perception. The relationship between the game on the field and the language of the media will be explored through examples, focusing on the social and cultural impacts of sports communication.
