A Meaningful Gathering at Darülaceze: A Bridge of Learning and Heart
As part of its visit to Darülaceze, the Haydi Tut Elimi Club organized a "Stress Management" seminar for the institution’s staff, while students met with Darülaceze residents, building an intergenerational bridge of the heart.
As part of its social solidarity and institutional support activities, the Üsküdar University Haydi Tut Elimi Club paid a meaningful visit to Darülaceze (Perpa), one of Istanbul’s time-honored historic institutions. Held on December 19, 2026, the event combined academic training with a deeply moving social program.

In the first part of the program, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatma Turan gave a "Stress Management" seminar for the institution’s staff. Aimed at contributing to the professional development and well-being of staff working devotedly in the field of social services, the seminar presented strategies for coping with challenging working conditions and motivation techniques in an interactive format.
After the training, 15 volunteer students from the Haydi Tut Elimi Club toured the Darülaceze campus accompanied by institution officials and received detailed information about the institution’s history and operations. Having the chance to see Darülaceze’s long-standing culture of charity firsthand, the students experienced our university’s "Compassionate Technology and Human Values" vision in the field.

The most emotional moments of the visit came during the conversations in which students met with Darülaceze residents. Spending time with the elderly, listening to their life experiences and sharing in their memories, the students highlighted the importance of intergenerational communication. Held in partnership with the Haydi Tut Elimi Association, the gathering helped participants develop their capacity for empathy while providing morale support to the elderly.
Club officials stated that such projects that reach out to society play a critical role in students’ personal and professional development. Ending with smiles on the faces of Darülaceze residents, the event once again demonstrated Üsküdar University’s sustainable and holistic approach to social responsibility projects.
