On January 6, 2026, the Üsküdar University First Touch to a Miracle Club held an online conference via Zoom titled “A Midwifery Student’s Work and Travel Experience: America.” 40 students attended the event.
The program’s guest, Intern Midwife Bilge Fatma Neşelier, shared important information about the Work and Travel application process. Points to consider during the application stage, key criteria in the interview process and the planning stages of the program were discussed in detail. Participants were given advice, particularly on document preparation, time management and tracking the process.

The conference also focused on the cultural experiences gained during the time spent in the U.S., the work environment, daily life and contributions to personal development. The speaker emphasized that the program is not only a work experience but also an opportunity to get to know a different culture, gain self-confidence and develop an international perspective.
The event continued interactively with a Q&A session. Participants had the opportunity to obtain detailed information by asking the speaker directly about the Work and Travel program. At the end of the program, students said they were pleased with the event and would like similar experience-sharing sessions to continue.
The First Touch to a Miracle Club aims to continue organizing events that support students’ academic and professional development as well as their awareness of international experience opportunities.
