The Üsküdar University Positive Psychology Club celebrated the first major gathering of the new academic year with its "Welcome Tea" event held in the Sokrates Hall of E Block. Bringing together students passionate about positive psychology in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, the event, accompanied by songs, fun prize draws and delicious refreshments, became a platform for social interaction that strengthened communication and solidarity among members.
Winds of optimism and awareness continue to blow across the Üsküdar University campus. The Positive Psychology Club enthusiastically completed its traditional "Welcome Tea" event, where it welcomed its new members and students interested in the club. Hosted in the Sokrates Hall, the event offered a platform where students could strengthen not only their academic ties but also their social and psychological bonds.
The main purpose of the event was to help club members get to know one another better and to bring their shared interest in the discipline of positive psychology onto common ground. Accordingly, the program flowed in a way that prioritized warmth and comfort. New members had the opportunity to learn in detail about the club's vision and activities for the coming term, while a sense of community was reinforced from the very first minutes.
The prize draws and live music performances held later in the program gave participants a peaceful break away from exam stress. At the gathering, actively attended by 32 students, conversations accompanied by songs helped break the ice among students. These fun activities, designed to foster social bonds, once again showcased the club's energy and dynamism.
In their feedback at the end of the event, participants said the gathering was very enjoyable and fostered bonding. The icebreaker games and refreshments prepared especially for new members played a critical role in creating a sense of belonging. Participant comments emphasized that through events like this, the Positive Psychology Club adds a positive touch to campus life and offers students a safe space where they can express themselves.
The management of the Positive Psychology Club stated that this welcome meeting was just the beginning and that science-based yet equally fun projects will continue throughout the term. Reflecting Üsküdar University's student-centered approach, the gathering concluded by boosting students' motivation. The club officially kicked off the term by inviting students of all ages and from all departments to become part of this positive community.
