The Heart of Science Beats in Üsküdar: A Major Gathering from the Perfusion Club
As part of its "Perfusion Monthly Scientific Meeting" series, the Üsküdar University Perfusion Club hosted leading figures in the field at the İbni Sina Auditorium. At the meeting, attended by distinguished academics such as Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, Prof. Dr. Ali Kocailik and Prof. Dr. Denyan Mansuroğlu as well as experienced perfusionists, current developments in perfusion technologies, clinical experiences and the surgical approaches of the future were discussed on an interactive platform.
The Üsküdar University Perfusion Club added another event to its monthly scientific meetings, organized to strengthen students' professional skills and broaden their academic vision. Held at the İbni Sina Auditorium, this special session became a forum for sharing in which theoretical knowledge was refreshed and current practices in the field were discussed in depth. The meeting aimed to develop the scientific thinking skills of students studying perfusion and to strengthen professional solidarity.

The scientific quality of the program reached its peak with presentations by leading names in cardiovascular surgery and perfusion. Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, Prof. Dr. Ali Kocailik and Prof. Dr. Denyan Mansuroğlu highlighted the critical importance of perfusion management in surgical procedures and offered valuable advice to guide young perfusionist candidates in their professional careers. Expert perfusionists, in turn, shared the practical outcomes of technological innovations with participants through clinical cases.
Throughout the meeting, attended by a total of 125 students, comprehensive assessments were made on extracorporeal circulation systems, patient safety protocols and next-generation perfusion devices. Participants had the opportunity to learn the details they were curious about by asking questions to the expert speakers, while also getting the chance to blend their academic perspectives with clinical practice. This intense interaction proved highly productive in raising professional awareness.

"Knowledge exchange and interaction," another key aim of the event, also strengthened communication among the students themselves. On this platform, which brought together students from different class years, discussions were held on current publications and research topics in the field of perfusion. Emphasizing the importance of being part of a scientific community, club officials drew attention to the importance of equipping perfusionist candidates through such events before graduation.
Stating that such high-quality scientific meetings will continue on a regular basis, the Perfusion Club, which prepares the healthcare professionals of the future, emphasized that it aims to keep students' professional skills up to date at all times. The event ended with a group photo of participants and speakers, and students have already begun preparing for the next monthly meeting.
