The Technology of the Future at Üsküdar: Blockchain and Sui Workshop Series Completed
With its "Blockchain & Sui Workshop" event, the Üsküdar University GDG on Campus team invited students to open the doors to the world of Web3. In the intensive two-day training program organized in collaboration with BuilderMare, many innovative topics were covered through hands-on practice, from the fundamentals of the blockchain ecosystem to the technical details of the Sui network, and from wallet setup to smart contract development. Tech-enthusiast young people came together with expert instructors and had the opportunity to experience the digital architecture of the future first-hand.
Üsküdar University's Main Campus hosted a comprehensive workshop on blockchain technology, one of the most important links in digital transformation. Organized by GDG on Campus Üsküdar University, the "Blockchain & Sui Workshop" brought the latest developments in the world of technology to campus. During the two-day event, participants had the chance to examine in depth the working logic of decentralized technologies and the innovative solutions offered by the Sui ecosystem.
On the first day of the training, Eren Taşyürek and Berkay Öztunç from the BuilderMare team introduced participants to the basic concepts of blockchain technology and the working principles of the Sui network. In the hands-on sessions that followed the theoretical presentations, the setup and use of Sui wallets, which are critical for digital asset management, were demonstrated one-on-one. Participants took their first steps into the world of Web3 by experiencing first-hand how basic transactions are carried out on the network.
On the second day of the program, the technical details were taken to the next level with an introduction to smart contract development. In the sessions, where Veli Uysal and Ahmet Hakan Demir joined Eren Taşyürek and Berkay Öztunç as instructors, practical exercises were carried out on the Sui platform using simple code examples. This interactive process helped students gain the vision to become not just users but also creators of technology.
Held in Block A of the Main Campus, the workshop took place in a highly dynamic atmosphere with 35 software and technology enthusiast students in attendance. Conducted jointly by GDG on Campus, the Üsküdar University Blockchain Community and the HCS Directorate, this work set a successful example of the culture of interdisciplinary collaboration at the university. Throughout the event, participants asked the experts the technical questions they were curious about and received valuable feedback regarding their career planning.
At the end of the workshop, participants emphasized how instructive it was for them to gain practical experience in the field of blockchain. Officials from GDG on Campus Üsküdar University stated that the technology-focused workshop series will continue at full speed and that they will always support students in adapting to global technology trends. The event successfully concluded with thanks to the participants and a group photo.
