Üsküdar University students continue to achieve great success not only in academic fields but also in sports. Our Turkish Champion athlete, who is a 1st year student of the Department of Speech and Language Therapy and also works part-time in the Information Technologies unit, is making a name for himself with his victories in the Wushu Kungfu branch.

Kübra Yıldızbakan, who won the first placein the 7th Open Balkan Wushu Kungfu Championship held in 2024, took this success one step further and won the title of Turkey Champion by coming 1st in the Senior Taolu category at the Wushu Kungfu Turkey Championship held on February 4-16, 2025.

Kübra Yıldızbakan received great appreciation from both the jury members and the audience with her performance during the championship. Thanks to his technical skills, disciplined training process and passion for sports, he outperformed his rivals and reached the gold medal.

Combining Sports and Academic Success

Our athlete, who successfully continues his education at our university, also works part-time in the Information Technologies unit, and continues his success in sports along with his academic career.
