“Monitoring and Observability” Training by the STEM Projects Club
The online training organized by the STEM Projects Club covered the fundamentals of monitoring and observability, along with their applications in software systems.
The online training titled “Fundamentals of Monitoring and Observability with Granatal Prometners Software,” organized by the Üsküdar University STEM Projects Club, was held on March 27, 2026. At the event, organized as a scientific activity, participants had the opportunity to gain basic knowledge of monitoring and observability, concepts frequently used in software systems.
During the event, the importance of system tracking, performance analysis, and error management processes in modern software systems in particular was discussed. The role of monitoring in tracking system performance was addressed, while emphasis was placed on the advantages that the observability approach offers for analyzing system behavior more comprehensively.
In the online training, information was provided on the basic working principles of the tools used in software infrastructures and their functions in system management. Participants had the opportunity to learn why data tracking, error detection, and system sustainability are important, especially in large-scale software projects.

Throughout the program, it was emphasized that monitoring and observability are important not only for technical infrastructure but also for user experience, system security, and operational efficiency. Attention was drawn to the fact that data analysis and system observability are becoming increasingly critical in software development processes today.
During the event, students learned about topics they were curious about in software technologies and system management, and exchanged ideas on the practical applications of technical concepts. The training offered a productive learning environment that increased participants’ awareness of software infrastructure and system management.
The event held by the STEM Projects Club was one of the events that helped students become more closely acquainted with current concepts in technology and software, built technical awareness, and supported academic development.
