A Colorful and Productive Gathering from EMSA Üsküdar: Knitting Workshop

The “Knitting Workshop” organized by EMSA Üsküdar was held on December 2, 2025, on the Mezzanine Floor of the Health Campus. At the event, organized as a social and cultural activity, students took a short break from their daily academic workload and enjoyed a productive and fun workshop experience.

At the event, sponsored by Selfikolar, participants had the opportunity to try out knitting techniques while also discovering the relaxing and social side of handcrafting. Throughout the workshop, students worked on their own knitting projects, gaining new skills and creating a friendly environment in which they could interact with one another.

While the colorful materials and hands-on work process used at the event attracted students’ interest, it was also observed that the process of making things is not just a technical activity but also a motivating social experience. As participants learned the stages of knitting through hands-on practice, the creative works that emerged throughout the event added a dynamic atmosphere to the workshop.

Aiming to strengthen students’ social bonds amid an intense course schedule, the event offered participants an experience that was both instructive and relaxing. Students interested in crafts requiring manual skills in particular actively participated in the workshop activities throughout the event.

The Knitting Workshop held by EMSA Üsküdar once again demonstrated the importance in university life of events that support not only students’ academic side but also their social and creative sides.
