A Cultural Gathering from the Scientific Research Society: Spirited Away Cinema Event

The Spirited Away cinema event organized by the Üsküdar University Scientific Research Society was held on November 4, 2025 at the Galenos Conference Hall on the 6th Floor of the NP Health Campus. During the event, participants had the opportunity to watch together Spirited Away, one of the most important animated productions in world cinema.

Alongside students’ academic workload, cinema events are among the important activities that support their social and cultural development. The event organized in this spirit both offered participants artistic content and created a meeting point that enhanced social interaction within the university environment.

During the screening, participants were offered popcorn and drinks, and stickers designed in keeping with the film’s theme were handed out. Enriching the event with thematic elements increased students’ interest in the event and contributed to an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere.

By exploring themes of imagination, the search for identity and personal growth, Spirited Away offered participants a thought-provoking viewing experience. In this respect, the event went beyond a mere film screening, enabling students to gain different perspectives and reflect on forms of artistic expression.

Attended by approximately 60 students, the event created a productive environment where students could spend time together, socialize and engage with cultural content. The interaction throughout the event helped students strengthen their social bonds in university life.

Such events organized by Üsküdar University student clubs continue to support the cultural and social development of students alongside their academic development. The Spirited Away cinema event held by the Scientific Research Society was also an enjoyable and memorable experience for participants.
