A Cultural Journey from the Sociology Club: A Tour of the Archaeology Museum

Students from the Sociology Club at Üsküdar University had a meaningful experience during a cultural trip to the Istanbul Archaeology Museum, organized to observe the deep connection between history and sociology firsthand.

Twelve students participated in the trip, which took place on November 12, 2025. By examining artifacts from different periods at the museum, sociology students gained a sociological perspective on the historical development processes of human communities. The artifacts, spanning from ancient times to the Ottoman period, concretely demonstrated the impact of cultural transformation on social dynamics.

The event not only supported the participants' academic learning but also strengthened their cultural awareness. By observing how social life has been shaped from the past to the present, students had the opportunity to better understand the intersections of sociology with historical science.

At the end of the program, students discussed the knowledge they had gained during the trip and expressed that the museum tour was not only educational but also an inspiring experience.
