A New Era in Forensic Sciences: Getting Acquainted and Excitement Combined at the ABCA Meetup

At its introductory meeting, the Forensic Sciences and Criminal Justice Club (ABCA) introduced its new executive board and offered its members a motivating start with interactive games and its vision for the future.

The Forensic Sciences and Criminal Justice Club (ABCA), one of the most dynamic communities at Üsküdar University, got off to a fast start in the new academic year. The "ABCA Meetup," held at the Kuleli Hall of the Main Campus, was organized both to introduce the new executive board to members and to speed up the adaptation of newly enrolled students to university culture.

At the event, led by Club President Fulya Çoban, the members of the executive board were first introduced one by one, and information was provided on the club's organizational structure. In the first part of the meeting, highlights from the successful projects ABCA has carried out in previous years were presented, and the event photos shared served as a source of inspiration for new members. In the presentation, which blended past experience with future energy, the vision projects planned for this year were also shared with participants.

Going beyond a mere introductory meeting, the event turned into an interactive platform where students' requests were heard. The dialogue, which began with the club management asking students "What kind of events would you like?", allowed participants to feel they have a say in how the club is run. This part once again reinforced ABCA's democratic and student-centered approach.

In the second half of the program, competition and fun came together with entertaining forensic science-themed activities. A 20-question Kahoot game prepared around forensic science content, followed by a 12-question Taboo contest, allowed students both to test their professional knowledge and to bond with one another. The high energy in the hall during the games strengthened the bond among club members.

The meetup, attended by approximately 37 students, was captured with a group photo. With this productive start, the Forensic Sciences and Criminal Justice Club began the countdown to the academic and social activities it will carry out at the intersection of justice and science. In line with Üsküdar University's practice-oriented approach to education, the club will continue to bring developments in the field to campus in the new term.
