A Talk Shedding Light on Medical Translation from the Üsküdar Translation Club

The Medical Translation Talk organized by the Üsküdar Translation Club brought students who wish to specialize in the healthcare field together with industry experience. Addressing career management and professional orientation, the event offered participants a guiding perspective.

With its Medical Translation Talk held on December 24, 2025, the Üsküdar University Translation Club brought students aiming for a career in translation together with experienced names in the field. Addressing the dynamic nature of medical translation and the skills required to specialize in this field, the talk offered participants a comprehensive perspective.

The event’s speaker, Sezgin Bahadır, shared his experiences with participants on entering the medical translation industry, areas of specialization and career planning. Emphasizing the importance of building a sustainable career in the industry, Bahadır offered concrete suggestions on the points students should pay attention to in their professional journeys.

Moderating the talk, Dr. Lect. Hümeyra Genç addressed both the academic and practical dimensions of the event in a balanced way with guiding questions. In the event, which became interactive with a Q&A session, students had the opportunity to get direct answers to their career-related questions.
