A Thought-Provoking Book Analysis Event That Encouraged Sharing from the History, Art and Literature Club
The book analysis event organized by the Ü.Ü. History and Culture Club brought together works from different periods and genres in a shared space for reflection, offering participants an in-depth and interactive reading experience. At the event, where books were not only read but also interpreted together, cultural exchange came to the fore.
With its Book Analysis event held on December 26, 2025 in classroom No. 202 of Block A on the South Campus, the Üsküdar University History, Art and Literature Club took reading culture beyond an individual habit and turned it into a common ground for reflection and discussion. The cultural, educational and conversational event took place in an interactive atmosphere thanks to the participants’ active contributions.
As part of the event, club members shared the content, main ideas and notable aspects of the works they had read through presentations. Discussions of books from different periods and narrative genres, such as Cato – On Agriculture, Ahmet Ümit – Yırtıcı Kuşlar Zamanı and Sadullah Gülten – Üçler Yediler Kırklar, gave the event a rich and multifaceted perspective.
The Q&A and exchange of ideas session held after the presentations created a lively atmosphere of discussion among the participants. The books were examined in depth in terms of their historical backgrounds, cultural contexts and individual reading experiences. This process enabled participants to develop their critical thinking skills and encounter different perspectives.
Attended by a total of 6 students, the event stood out for its high-quality and focused structure despite the small number of participants. Organized by the History and Culture Club, this book analysis concluded as a productive cultural event demonstrating that reading can become more meaningful and lasting through sharing.
