At the opening ceremony of "Another Engineering Summit TECH'22" held at Üsküdar University Altunizade Campus Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall, opening speeches were made by Üsküdar University Founding Rector and Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kaçır and Üsküdar University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zelka. Stating that it is not enough to do good work, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, said, "The widespread impact must also be high. We should even say that the social impact should also be high. The social impact of universities is an issue that is studied in research. They look at their impact on society and their level of information. Our young friends are lucky in this respect. They have much more opportunities in terms of social impact, innovation, entrepreneurship and doing new things." Tarhan said that as a university, they aim to create a climate of possibility for young people and said, "We want young people to reveal all kinds of possibilities and to be equipped and progress according to these possibilities according to their abilities. This is very important both in terms of professional gain and the future of the country. We need to invest not only in ourselves, but also in the society, humanity and the planet, and feel our responsibilities. This is why in 2013, US President Obama launched the brain initiative as a global project. In 2018, in Davos, it was said that technology is now in our lives and our minds can be controlled. Before, it was said that data is everything, but it turns out that everything is data. Even the paper we hold becomes data when it is converted into digital format. The meaning of the concept of matter has changed."

Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, emphasizing that the best news about Turkey in the world press in recent years is the news about our country's technological initiatives, said: "Unfortunately, the international media has not been making positive news about our country in recent years. This is not a coincidence either. The more you emphasize the claim of full independence, someone in the world can be disturbed by this. Technology entrepreneurship has become an area where the international media feel obliged to make extremely good news about our country. The Financial Times published an article titled 'How Turkey became the star of European technology'. This news shows how our technology entrepreneurship has made remarkable achievements." Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır said, "Instead of imitating, copying and pasting the policies carried out by other countries in line with their own goals, we strive to implement the 'National Technology Move Policies' under the leadership of our President, which covers our original policy approach, in which we focus on Turkey's own opportunities and strengths, and take into account the challenges and threats we face."
