Big Dreams in a Tiny Globe: Creativity Came Together at the Snow Globe Workshop
At the Snow Globe Workshop organized by the Child Development Club, students showcased their creativity through handmade work and enjoyed the pleasure of making things.
The Snow Globe Workshop organized by the Üsküdar University Child Development Club offered an enjoyable workshop experience that supported both participants’ manual skills and their creative thinking processes. At the event held in the Child Development Workshop, students designed handmade snow globes and took an active part in every stage of the making process.
During the workshop, the materials used to make snow globes were introduced and the design process was carried out step by step in a hands-on manner. Reflecting their own imaginations inside a small globe, participants created original and personal designs. Throughout the event, the aim was to support skills such as hand–eye coordination, attention and creativity.
The workshop showed once again that education in child development is not limited to theoretical knowledge, highlighting the importance of learning through practice and experience. Brief discussions on the role of handmade activities in children’s development also enriched participants’ professional perspectives.
The warm and productive atmosphere during the event enabled students both to interact with one another and to develop a shared culture of working together. Participants said that they greatly enjoyed the process itself as well as the items they made.

The Snow Globe Workshop organized by the Child Development Club received positive feedback from students for its structure that encourages creativity and centers on making and hands-on learning. The event once again demonstrated the educational and inspiring power of workshops held in the field of child development.
