Child Abuse was Evaluated from Forensic and Psychological Perspective
On April 20, 2024, the event titled "Forensic and Psychological Approach in Child Abuse" held at Üsküdar University South Campus created deep thought and sensitivity among the participants.
The event, organized jointly by the Forensic Sciences and Criminal Justice Club and the Psychopark Club, aimed to raise the awareness of the participants by addressing child neglect and abuse from a forensic, psychological and legal perspective.
Invited speakers include Forensic Medicine Specialist Dr. Miraç Özdemir, Research Assistant. Assist. Betül Çelebi Dağ, Psychologist Yağmur Akyıldız and UCIM Turkey Legal Coordinator Attorney Ayça Bolak.
In the seminar, important information was shared on what to do as a responsible citizen when faced with such a situation in order to raise the awareness of students and other professionals on child abuse and neglect.
The event was organized in a face-to-face seminar format and took place in Fuat Sezgin Hall, Block C, South Campus. A total of 100 people attended the event.
The participants of the event had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of child abuse and neglect through the experiences and presentations of the speakers. In addition, after the event, interaction and information sharing among the participants took place intensively.
At the end of the event, participants left even more motivated about the importance of social awareness and cooperation in the fight against child abuse.
