EkoVizyon Club Holds a Nature and Sustainability-Focused Event at Fethipaşa Grove
At the introductory event, macramé workshop and nature walk organized by the EkoVizyon Club, students came together around sustainable living and environmental awareness.
The “Fethipaşa Grove Introductory Event and Macramé Workshop,” organized by Üsküdar University EkoVizyon Club, was held on December 13, 2025, with strong student participation. At the event, held at Fethipaşa Grove, one of İstanbul’s natural areas, students came together around the themes of sustainability, nature awareness and ecological living.
During the event, which took place between 11.00 and 14.00, participants both had the opportunity to meet club members and gained hands-on experience with sustainable living practices. Throughout the program, information was provided about the EkoVizyon Club’s areas of work, the activities it plans to carry out during the year and its sustainability-focused approach.
In the macramé workshop, one of the highlights of the event, participants were introduced to sustainable handcraft practices. Thanks to the workshop, which supports a culture of reuse and making, students both enjoyed a creative experience and had the opportunity to experience the concept of sustainable production firsthand.
The nature walk held as part of the program allowed students to get away from the hectic pace of city life and connect directly with nature. During the walk, insights were shared on ecosystem awareness, environmental issues and sustainable living habits, while participants reflected on the effects of environmental awareness on individual life.
During the event, detailed information was also shared about the “Sustainability and Climate Ambassadors” program. Students were informed about sustainability-focused responsibilities they can take on on campus and in social life, and the importance of young people’s role in processes of environmental transformation was emphasized. Participants actively engaged in the event by asking questions they were curious about.
Attended by a total of 22 students, the event was not merely a social gathering but also created an interactive environment for sharing aimed at strengthening environmental awareness. Feedback received from students at the end of the event showed that sustainability-themed activities are attracting increasing interest among university students.

The event held by the EkoVizyon Club stood out as one of the important activities supporting the club’s goal of raising environmental awareness and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
