From Dreams to Goals: The "Build Yourself" Workshop with the Sociology Club
The Üsküdar University Sociology Club gave students an inspiring day with its "Vision Board Workshop" held on December 17, 2025. In the workshop, organized to give concrete form to their vision for the future, participants took an important step in their personal development journeys by turning their 2026 goals into artwork from an artistic perspective.
The Sociology Club, one of Üsküdar University’s societies that focuses on individual development as much as on social issues, held a meaningful motivational event just days before the new year. The workshop titled "Build Yourself", held on December 17, 2025, enabled students to visualize their academic and personal goals by each creating a "vision board."

Held at Nevada Cafe, one of the Çarşı Campus partners, this creative gathering allowed students to step outside the classroom and share their future plans in a friendly atmosphere. As part of the workshop held on December 17, 2025, participants turned their dreams, career goals and expectations for 2026 into aesthetic boards using magazine cutouts, images and motivational quotes.

At the event, attended by approximately 17 students, the process of "self-construction of the individual" was addressed from a sociological perspective through a hands-on activity. In the workshop, which highlighted the psychological and motivational effects of setting goals and turning them into a visual reminder, each student designed a board reflecting their own unique story. The peaceful setting of Nevada Cafe boosted the productivity of the creative process while creating an enjoyable space for interaction among students.
Sociology Club officials stated that events like this, which aim to help students focus on their own potential and clarify their vision for the future amid a busy academic schedule, are an important part of university life. The gathering on December 17, 2025 not only allowed participants to create a board but also helped them strengthen community bonds by witnessing one another’s dreams.
At the end of the program, photos taken with the finished vision boards made up the most colorful moments of the event. Carried out under the Directorate of Health, Culture and Sports (HCS), this high-quality social activity once again affirmed Üsküdar University’s vision of supporting its students in many ways. The club announced that it will continue its interactive workshops contributing to students’ development in the new term.
