From Healing Waters to Professional Experience: Yalova Thermal Springs Trip from the Physiotherapy Club
With its technical trip to the Yalova Thermal Springs, the Üsküdar University Physiotherapy Club gave students the opportunity to observe hydrotherapy and balneotherapy practices on site.
To support students’ professional development and connect theoretical knowledge with practice, the Üsküdar University Physiotherapy Club organized a comprehensive trip to the Ministry of Health Yalova Thermal Springs. Held with strong participation from physiotherapy students, the event made it possible to observe on site the hydrotherapy and balneotherapy practices that hold an important place in rehabilitation.

During the trip, students made detailed observations on the physiological effects of thermal waters on the musculoskeletal system and their role in pain management, movement limitations and rehabilitation processes. In particular, how natural healing resources are used in clinical practice and the responsibilities physiotherapists take on in these processes formed a notable area of learning for the students.
Going beyond a mere technical trip, the event allowed students to relate the knowledge they had gained in theoretical courses to real practice settings. In this way, participants gained a more comprehensive perspective on alternative and complementary treatment methods in physiotherapy.

Also strengthening professional awareness, the trip helped students get a more concrete picture of the work settings they may take part in in the future. The Yalova Thermal Springs trip organized by the Physiotherapy Club concluded as a productive event that brought academic knowledge together with field experience, boosted students’ professional motivation and enriched their learning process.
