“Goal-Setting Workshop” from the Cansağlığı Club
At the workshop organized by the Cansağlığı Club, students gained awareness of academic, personal and professional goal-setting processes.
The “Goal-Setting Workshop,” organized by Üsküdar University Cansağlığı Club, was held on December 24, 2025, on South Campus. At the event, which attracted great interest from students, the effects of goal-setting processes on personal development and the importance of acting in a planned way were discussed.
Specialist Clinical Psychologist Şevval Özkaya, who attended the workshop as a speaker, emphasized that goal setting is not merely about making plans for the future but also an important process for self-discovery, maintaining motivation and giving direction to one’s life. Throughout the event, insights were shared on how academic, personal and professional goals can be planned more sustainably.
While reflecting on loss of motivation, procrastination and planning problems encountered in the goal-setting process, participants had the opportunity to learn about methods that can be applied in daily life. Thanks to the hands-on activities carried out during the workshop, students had the chance to reflect on their own goals and make them concrete.
The event placed particular emphasis on the importance of progressing in small, sustainable steps, and discussed how supporting one’s own development with realistic goals affects motivation. Students not only gained theoretical knowledge but also became actively involved in the process by reflecting on their own goal planning.
Attended by approximately 30 students, the workshop progressed interactively with Q&A and mutual sharing sessions. Participants had the opportunity to gain different perspectives that can contribute to both their academic lives and their personal development.
Held in collaboration with the Cansağlığı Foundation, the “Goal-Setting Workshop” was one of the productive events that helped students prepare for the new term with a more planned, motivated and self-aware outlook.
