“Medical Illustration 3” Training from EMSA Üsküdar
At the training organized by EMSA Üsküdar, students had the opportunity to take a close look at the importance of medical illustration in scientific communication and at visual design processes.
The “Medical Illustration 3” training, organized by EMSA Üsküdar, was held on December 18, 2025, in Classroom No. 612 on the Health Campus. At the event, organized as a scientific activity, students gained theoretical and practical knowledge of medical illustration and had the opportunity to explore the intersection of the health sciences and visual communication.
Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yıldız, who attended the event as a speaker, touched on the importance of medical illustration in the health field and emphasized that visual communication plays a critical role in conveying scientific information accurately and clearly. Throughout the training, extensive insights were shared on anatomical drawings, scientific visualization techniques and the visual design processes of medical content.
Participants followed with particular interest the impact of medical drawings used in the health field on education, academic publishing and patient information processes. Discussions on how visual materials make complex medical information easier to understand and contribute to learning processes were among the topics that drew students’ attention.
During the event, students not only gained theoretical knowledge but also gained insight into the basic approaches and techniques used in medical illustration. The sample works and visuals shared during the presentation helped students see the power of design in scientific communication up close.
Attended by approximately 15 students, the training continued interactively with a Q&A session. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions about the shared areas of work of health sciences, art and digital design.
The “Medical Illustration 3” training held by EMSA Üsküdar was one of the productive events that broadened students’ multidisciplinary perspectives and showed how scientific knowledge can be conveyed more effectively through visual communication.
