Medical Illustration Training from EMSA Üsküdar

The “Medical Illustration” training organized by EMSA Üsküdar was held on November 21, 2025, in Classroom No. 609 on the Health Campus. At the event, students had the opportunity to learn how medical information is made clearer and more effective through visual communication techniques.

Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yıldız, who attended the training as a speaker, emphasized that medical illustration is not merely drawing but also an important communication tool that ensures scientific knowledge is conveyed accurately. Throughout the event, extensive insights were shared on anatomical drawings, scientific visualization techniques and visual materials used in the health field.

Students followed with particular interest the examples of how medical illustration is used in education, academic publishing and health communication. Discussions on how visualizing medical information facilitates learning processes and why it is important for health professionals were among the highlights of the event.

Throughout the event, participants not only gained theoretical knowledge but also had the opportunity to see how the health sciences can meet art and design on common ground. Progressing interactively with students’ questions and comments, the training raised awareness of the importance of visual communication in scientific output.

The event held by EMSA Üsküdar contributed to students gaining a multidisciplinary perspective, while also demonstrating that creative and academic output in the health field can progress together.
