“Midwifery from Culture to Heart” Event by the First Touch to a Miracle Club
At the event organized by the First Touch to a Miracle Club, international students came together and shared experiences about academic processes, internship opportunities, and university life.
The “Midwifery from Culture to Heart” event, organized by the Üsküdar University First Touch to a Miracle Club, was held on March 24, 2026, in Classroom 612 at the Health Campus. At the event, attended by international students enrolled in the Department of Midwifery, informative insights were shared on academic processes and professional development.
At the event, led by the club’s executive board, a friendly atmosphere for conversation was created with students, and important topics related to university life were discussed. Throughout the program, comprehensive information was shared about coursework, the transcript and ECTS system, the Erasmus program, and double major (ÇAP) and minor opportunities. Voluntary summer internship opportunities and academic recommendations by year of study were also discussed.
At the event, the points to be considered during clinical practice internships, the department’s criteria logbook, and graduation requirements were explained in particular detail. Participants had the opportunity to gain more comprehensive knowledge of the academic and practical processes they may encounter during their midwifery education.
During the program, students were also introduced to the digital systems offered by the university. The use of platforms such as STIX, ALMS, and OBS was explained, and information was provided to help students track their academic progress more efficiently. In addition, valuable insights were shared on ways to communicate effectively with university faculty members and on adapting to campus life.
One of the highlights of the event was the sharing of international student experiences. Dilnoza Boyitova, a member of the executive board and an international student, shared her experiences in the Üsküdar University Department of Midwifery with participants and offered guiding advice to students. Thanks to these insights, participants had the chance to gain different perspectives both academically and socially.
At the event, attended by approximately 15 students, the Q&A session drew great interest. While students had the opportunity to get direct answers on topics they were curious about, they also gave feedback that the event’s duration was too short. Participants expressed their satisfaction with the program by requesting that new events with similar content be organized.
The event held by the First Touch to a Miracle Club was one of the productive events that contributed to the academic and social adaptation of international students, supported information sharing, and strengthened communication among students.
