Our student, National Kickboxer Yaren Çınar, came third in Europe!

Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services First and Emergency Aid student and national boxer Yaren Çınar, after winning the Turkish Championship with a broken finger, showed an outstanding performance in the European Championship held in Athens, Greece.

Çınar, who became the champion with his great determination in the Turkish Championship in Mersin, successfully passed the round competitions and quarterfinals in the tournament in Athens, where 3,700 athletes from 53 countries participated, and reached the semifinals. In the semifinals, she had an unfortunate incident when she was leading with a clear score of 3-0 against her Serbian opponent, the last World 3rd.

Yaren Çınar had to quit the competition in the last round due to nosebleed; her knee injury also made the fight difficult. Despite these misfortunes, Çınar, who won the 3rd place in Europe, lost her chance to win the championship due to the matching rules, although she had already defeated her opponent in the final.

Yaren Çınar, who received great appreciation for her performance against athletes from strong countries such as Kosovo, Germany, Greece, Serbia and Croatia throughout the tournament, stated that she has already started preparations for future tournaments.

This fight was described as a sensational fight on the official website of Wako Europe (World Association of Kick Boxing Organizations).
