Sociology Club Prepared Students for Their Career Journey with an Alumni Gathering

Sociology Club's "Alumni Gathering"

The Sociology Club, operating under the Health, Culture, and Sports Directorate of Üsküdar University, held an "Alumni Gathering" event on October 16, 2025. The event, held in the Socrates Hall of South Campus Building E, brought together sociology graduates and current students.

The purpose of the event, held in the format of a student gathering, was to provide an opportunity for graduates to share their experiences in their professional and academic lives, to contribute to the career planning processes of sociology students, and to strengthen graduate-student interaction.

The event proceeded in an interactive conversation format, moderated by Berat Dağ. Graduate students shared their experiences of transitioning from undergraduate education to working life, the opportunities and challenges they encountered, the impact of their sociology education on their working lives, and their observations on different career fields with the participants. Students, on the other hand, had the opportunity to ask questions they were curious about and learn about opportunities in both the professional and academic fields.

Participants stated that the event was instructive and motivating for them. Students expressed that being able to communicate directly with graduates increased their professional awareness and hoped that the Sociology Club would continue to organize similar events.
