SOLIDWORKS Workshop by the Technology and Innovation Club
At the workshop organized by the Technology and Innovation Club, students learned about the basic features and usage techniques of SOLIDWORKS, a program widely used in engineering.
The “SOLIDWORKS Workshop,” organized by the Üsküdar University Technology and Innovation Club, was held online via the Google Meet platform on January 10, 2026. At the event, which drew strong participation from students interested in engineering and design, SOLIDWORKS, a program used in technical drawing and modeling processes, was covered in detail.
Mustafa Karaca, who attended the event as a speaker, shared with students the basic logic of using SOLIDWORKS, the shortcuts used within the program, and its areas of application throughout the training. Participants had the opportunity to explore, through hands-on examples, the capabilities offered by this software, which is frequently preferred in engineering projects.
Throughout the workshop, students learned about creating technical drawings, the logic of three-dimensional modeling, and key points to consider in design processes, while also having the chance to learn in detail about the program’s features that make the user experience easier. The event proved highly productive, especially for students seeking to develop themselves in engineering.
During the program, it was emphasized that SOLIDWORKS is not merely a technical drawing application but also an important tool in production, design, and innovation processes. Through examples of how the software is used in different industries, students had the opportunity to take a closer look at the program’s place in professional life.
The event, attended by approximately 120 students, continued interactively with a Q&A session. Participants had the opportunity to get direct answers about technical details they encountered during the hands-on work and topics they were curious about regarding the use of the program.
The “SOLIDWORKS Workshop,” held by the Technology and Innovation Club, was one of the productive events that helped students develop their technical skills and raised awareness of digital tools in engineering.
