The Aesthetic Side of Science: "The Silent Art of Tissues and Cells" Exhibition
The Laboratory Technician Club brought together science and aesthetics by bringing the microscopic world of pathological tissues to the Çarşı Campus from an artistic perspective.
The Üsküdar University Laboratory Technician Club held an original exhibition shedding light on the unseen heroes of medical laboratory processes and the fascinating details of the microscopic world. Held at the entrance of the Çarşı Campus from December 1 to 3, 2025, the exhibition titled "The Silent Art of Tissues and Cells" attracted great interest from both students and academic staff.
As part of the exhibition, microscopic and macroscopic images of tissues examined in pathological diagnostic processes were presented to visitors with the meticulousness of works of art. Presenting the sections, cells and tissue structures used to diagnose diseases in the laboratory from an aesthetic angle also demonstrated that science is not merely a technical discipline but also holds visual richness.

During the three-day event, club members informed the approximately 100 students who visited the exhibition about the technical background of the images. These explanations, covering the staining techniques used in pathology laboratories and the structural features of cells, raised the professional awareness of health sciences students while also providing an intriguing experience for students from other departments.
Prepared through the collective work of Laboratory Technician Club members, this selection combined the disciplined nature of medical analysis processes with the free spirit of art. Revealing just how dynamic and complex the silent world under the microscope actually is, the work sparked scientific curiosity on the university campus from an aesthetic perspective.

At the end of the event, club officials stated that they will continue such awareness projects to introduce different branches of science to the public and their fellow students. Aligned with Üsküdar University's practice-oriented educational vision, this exhibition will be remembered as an unforgettable cultural gathering in which scientific data was transformed into a visual language.
