The Fingerprints of Art: A Creative Clay Workshop from the Future of Kindness Club

At the "Clay Workshop" organized by the Future of Kindness Club, Üsküdar students shaped clay, relieving stress while creating original ceramic pieces.

The Üsküdar University Future of Kindness Club hosted an artistic gathering that gave students a breather amid a busy academic calendar. Held on December 11, 2025 at the Main Campus, the "Clay Workshop" offered an enjoyable platform that allowed students to discover their manual skills and turn their creativity into tangible works.

At the workshop held in classroom A-308, participants were introduced to basic ceramic forming techniques. Getting acquainted with the texture of clay, students used methods such as pinching, coiling and slab building to bring to life objects designed entirely from their own imagination. Guided by club members, the process became both an educational and a therapeutic experience for the participants.

Practicing the art of ceramics, which requires focus and patience, throughout the workshop, students stepped away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immersed themselves in a process of artistic creation. The cups, figures and decorative objects produced during the roughly two-and-a-half-hour event were exhibition-worthy pieces reflecting the participants' aesthetic perspectives and hand-mind coordination.

Going beyond a mere hobby activity, the event also created an atmosphere of sharing that strengthened the social bonds among club members. At the workshop, where creating together and helping one another took center stage, students exchanged ideas with each other on different techniques. Held in a boutique format with limited capacity, the session provided a productive setting that allowed each participant to focus on their own work.

The symbolic income of 400 TL raised at the end of the program was recorded to be used in the club's future charitable projects. Officials of the Future of Kindness Club stated that workshops of this kind, combining art and social responsibility, will continue to spread across campus. The event, which enriched Üsküdar University's student-centered social climate, concluded with a group photo.
