"The Secret of Ottoman Tombstones" Conference by History Club
Üsküdar University History Club held its conference titled "The Secret of Ottoman Tombstones" on November 28, 2024. The event was held face-to-face at GEB Socrates Hall and the participants had the opportunity to discover the deep meanings of Ottoman tombstones.

The Deep Meaning of Ottoman Tombstones
The speaker of the conference, Fatih Çavuş, emphasized the historical and cultural importance of the tombstones of the Ottoman Empire. In his speech, he made a comprehensive evaluation of the symbols, written information and the place of art in the historical process. Participants learned what clues Ottoman-era tombstones offer about the religious, social and cultural structure of the society.
A Successful and Academic Event
The participants showed great interest in the event thanks to Fatih Çavuş's in-depth lectures. Throughout the conference, the participants listened attentively and gained a lot of new information about Ottoman culture. In the evaluations made at the end of the event, the participants expressed that they found the conference successful and academically very valuable.
Üsküdar University History Club plans to continue such informative and cultural events.
