Turkey's First Wikipedia Student Club Founded at Üsküdar University

Üsküdar University, which hosted the first international wikidata event on October 21-23, 2022, established the Wikipedia Student Club after the event.

The club, which was formalized with the decision of the student clubs coordination board, held its first meeting with the club board of directors. Among the club's activity plans, consultations were held to contribute to Turkish Wikipedia in different areas such as volunteer content writing training, digital information volunteering, and annual plans were made. Zafer Batık, President of the Digital Information Association, attended the first meeting of the Wikipedia student club, which is planned to be opened in different universities under the leadership of Üsküdar University Wikipedia Student Club.
