Üsküdar University Muay Thai Women's Team Ranked Second in Turkey
Üsküdar University Women's Muay Thai Team achieved a significant success in the Muay Thai Interuniversity Turkey Championship held at Mersin University between February 19-23, 2024.
In the tournament, Tuğba UZUN , a 1st year student of the Department of Physiotherapy, who competed in the 54 kg Women's category, became the Champion of Turkey, while Yaren ÇINAR, a 1st year student of First and Emergency Aid in the 75 kg category, came second in Turkey and Rümeysa Sultan YALÇINKAYA , a 1st year student of the Department of Physiotherapy in the 71 kg category, came third in Turkey.
In the European Kick Boxing Championship qualifiers held on January 22-27, 2024, Uzun, who ranked third in Turkey in the 70 kg Women's Full Contact category, became the champion this time, while Yalçınkaya ranked third in Turkey and Çınar became the Turkish Champion .With this success, Çınar also qualified for the European Kick Boxing Championship to be held in Athens between November 2-10, 2024.
Üsküdar University, which ranked second in Turkey as a team in the women's category, achieved a great success as a team with the professionalism and fair play spirit shown by its athletes.
