Üsküdar University Students Dazzled at Turkey Open Kick Boxing Championship
Üsküdar University students, who participated in the European Kick Boxing Championship qualifiers held in Mersin between January 22-27, 2024, also participated in the Turkish Open Kick Boxing Championship, attracted attention with a tremendous performance.
Vocational School of Health Services First and Emergency Aid 1st year student Yaren Çınar became the Champion of Turkey by eliminating all her opponents with 3-0 scoring. With this success, she qualified to participate in the European Kick Boxing Championship to be held in Athens, the capital of Greece, on November 2-10, 2024.
Another successful student was Rümeysa Yalçınkaya, a first-year student of the Department of Physiotherapy at the Vocational School of Health Services. Yalçınkaya, who competed in the 52 kg Senior Women K1 category, won 2 matches and became the 3rd in Turkey. Tuğba Uzun, a 1st year student of the Department of Physiotherapy, who competed in the 70 kg Women's Full Contact category in the same championship, also achieved a great success by coming 3rd in Turkey.
Our students will also participate in the Inter-University Kick Boxing Championship to be organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TUSF) between February 16-18, 2024. Congratulations to our students for their success.
