Üsküdar University Scientific Research Society Club Achieved Great Success with Child Health Congress
The "Congress in All Aspects: Child Health" event was held on December 2-3, 2023. The congress, held at Ibn-i Sina Auditorium of NP Health Campus, attracted great interest by focusing on a broad perspective on child health.
Organized under the coordination of the Department of Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) there were many valuable speakers and participants specialized in the field of child health. In the congress attended by a total of 300 people, prominent names in the field such as Prof. Dr. Haydar Sür, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Alkan, Prof. Dr. Aptullah Haholu shared their knowledge and experiences.
All aspects of child health were discussed in 16 sessions during the 2-day event. The event, which was organized for students from different departments, created a learning-based environment by offering a rich range of knowledge and experience to the participants. In addition, socialization opportunities were offered with activities such as music concerts, fair hours and coffee breaks.
The materials used in the event included canvas, cloth bags, name badges, paper, pens, notebooks, stickers and stands. The event was supported by organizations and individuals such as Üsküdar Municipality, Rize Municipality, Tusmer, Lösev and Istanbul Medical Bookstore. Trainings and experience meetings were also organized for the organizing team and 20 people benefited from these activities.
Organizing Committee Chair Dalya Çölaşan, 2nd year student at the Faculty of Medicine, said: "We were very excited as it was the first congress we organized. Seeing that these efforts paid off made us both very happy and very proud."
Thanks to the workshops held at the end of the event, the participants gained practical knowledge and social skills as well as theoretical knowledge, providing a deeper, efficient and fun learning process.
In the evaluation of the event, it was emphasized that the side activities organized to increase social interaction as well as addressing child health from a broad perspective were successful. According to the feedback from the participants, the event was productive and met their expectations. The organizing team aims to continue this success in future events.
