7 Great Tips to Increase Your Study Motivation
The biggest responsibility of students throughout their education is clear from the beginning. What is this? Studying, of course. The most important thing we need to study is motivation. So, what are the things that make you want to study?
It's perfectly normal to lack motivation, especially if it's exam week. You can find our best suggestions to help you increase your motivation to study in this article.
Here are 7 things to do to increase your motivation to study!
1. Take a Break from Social Media
2. Reward Yourself Occasionally
3. Organize Your Workspace
4. Study with Friends
5. Take a Short Break
6. Don't Be Pessimistic
7. Discover New Places
Let's examine these suggestions in much more detail in the rest of our article. We will have great suggestions for you under the headings. Let's start if you are ready!
1. Take a Break from Social Media
"I'll watch a little story and then start class..." We have all experienced that feeling of collapse after the realization that comes when we pick up the phone right after this sentence and don't put it down even though hours have passed. For this reason, from the moment you decide to study, you should not care who shares what. Instead of spending most of your time on social media, it may be a much better choice to browse when you take a break. You are not losing anything because social media stays in the same place for long periods of time.
2. Reward Yourself Occasionally
When studying gets boring, think about what you can do after exams. Buy tickets to a movie you've been waiting for a long time to be released, have endless fun with your friends or just relax. Identify what will make you truly happy and work steadily towards achieving it. Keep studying with the motivation of the sentence "Once these exams pass, see how much fun I will have."
3. Organize Your Workspace
A messy desk can strain your eyes and make you walk away from it completely, which you don't want to do anyway. Believe in the power of an organized and tidy desk and remove all distracting items from your desk. This is sure to be very good for your mind. It is inevitable that your eyes will wander to something else while you are focused on the lesson and you will quickly move away from the desk. Review your study space and create a spacious environment.
4. Study with Friends
Working with a group of friends is sometimes much more productive than working alone. This does not necessarily mean that you have to be side by side, now with zoom and other online applications you can meet your friends without going anywhere. This is undoubtedly one of the biggest advantages of the digital world.
When you are with your friends, there is a chance that the conversation will drag on or go somewhere very different. But as long as there is discipline, there is no harm. In fact, chatting occasionally can increase the desire to study.
5.
Working hard without breaks does not always mean working efficiently, but it means wasted hours at the desk. Sitting at the desk and not getting up until you understand the subject is a method that is best described as stubbornness, which is not recommended. Because this is not how the human brain works anyway. Do not do this to yourself when every second of your time is precious.
Take short breaks to rest your mind, sing if singing motivates you, or just rest your eyes, it's up to you to decide. Keep in mind that studying in a stuffy and closed environment has a demotivating effect.
6. Explore New Places
Continually being in the same environment can quickly become boring. Instead, take a little trip and discover new places to study. You don't need to go out to explore, you can find them on social media or online apps. Don't be afraid to change things up, because seeing other people studying around you can really motivate you and make you want to study. Try it!
7. Don't Be Pessimistic
It all starts with motivation and a positive mindset. The better you feel about yourself, the better the result will be in line with your expectations. First of all, don't think of studying as an obligation, but as a path towards a better future. From time to time you may experience a lack of motivation, this is quite normal. Instead of saying "I'm not going to succeed or I'm trying but it's not working...", say "I'm trying to make it better and it will be better". The rest will come by itself.
