How to Protect Your Health during the Academic Semester?
Every student wants to start the new academic year refreshed and rejuvenated. Maintaining good health not only improves your academic performance, but also your quality of life. In this article, we will explain the various ways in which students can maintain their physical and mental health.
11 Ways to Stay Healthy in the New Era
Taking time for yourself by taking a short break from work is the best way to feel good. When it comes to maintaining good health, you can list many points.
What is good for someone else may not be good for you and may have different effects. Improve your physical and mental health by seeking ways of renewal in the new period.
Here are 11 ways to stay healthy for students;
1. Exercise Regularly
Exercise helps to distract you from things that affect you badly. The body is revitalized and relaxed after physical activity. You can reduce stress and adrenaline by taking a short break from class. It also releases the hormone endorphins, which boosts your energy and makes you feel better.
Most people recommend at least 150 hours of moderate exercise per week. Through physical activity you can get to know your body better and get much more out of it than a drug can.
2. Getting Adequate and Quality Sleep
Set a minimum of seven to ten hours of sleep per day and try to get it regularly. Adequate sleep is the most neglected aspect for most students, but it is the most important way to stay active during the day. You will feel more tired after exercise and improve your sleep quality.
Stick to your sleep routine to boost your memory. If you still can't sleep, try not to think about it and try to get up, move around a bit and then go back to sleep.
3. Get Away from Technology
Instead of following the posts of your friends or others, focus on yourself, so you can make much healthier decisions. You will be motivated, your mood will improve and you will feel better about what you have without comparing yourself to someone else or shifting your focus.
Taking a short break from technology will do you good.
4. Reduce Caffeine
Caffeine is especially indispensable during midterm and final weeks, but its consumption should be limited. Avoid heavy caffeine and you will see the difference.
You can drink healthier drinks instead of coffee and its derivatives. In addition, caffeine makes it difficult to fall asleep, so be careful not to consume it before going to sleep.
5. Join Communities
Being part of a group where you share common goals is a great motivator to do more. Having such a group to turn to when you feel most hopeless will make you feel stronger. It also allows you to be more objective when making a decision and leads you to the truth.
Often, listening to the opinions of others is the perfect way to get one step closer to the truth or to lighten the load.
6. Make Peace with Your Fears
Fear is present in every aspect of life and it is not as easy to get rid of as it seems. Therefore, you need to embrace your fears, become one with them and strengthen your energy. We are often afraid of the things we are most afraid of.
Remember that fear is with you the moment you make a new decision or decide to do something you have never done before.
7. Eat Adequately and Regularly
I'm sure you've heard the motto: "you are what you eat. Your energy levels are proportional to your food intake. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and try to eat as healthy as possible at breakfast.
Make your meals nutritious and fun by trying different foods. Make sure you have a snack on the way to class, even if it is just to catch up.
8. Feed Your Brain
The way to strengthen the brain is through adequate sleep, a balanced diet and exercise. To look good mentally and physically, you should clean your brain and make sure you get the most out of everything you do for yourself. You can practice mental meditation, especially at night, to stay energized throughout the day.

9. Get in Touch with Your Environment
As a student, do not hesitate to communicate with your surroundings. Try to take the first step when entering a different environment or joining a conversation later. Always keep your connections strong and accessible. The energy you give off to the environment allows you to create new opportunities for yourself.
10. Spend Time with Loved Ones
Spend time with family or friends to unwind from the busy week. Being together with loved ones is the biggest motivator for most people. If you are having difficulty making time for your environment, you can concentrate on your studies during the week and spend the weekend having fun with your loved ones.
11. Plan
For students, planning is everything. You are not only responsible for your studies, of course, but you also have a social circle to make time for. You can improve your time management skills by creating a daily or weekly schedule. When planning, make sure you allocate enough time for your classes and activities.
In conclusion;
Every student wants to see the best version of themselves. During the academic semester you will face countless opportunities and take on new responsibilities. But the key to success is to find something to motivate yourself. Maintaining physical and mental health at the same time is the key to success.
Remember, no matter how old you are, the starting point of success and being the architect of new beginnings is knowing yourself.
