On November 24, Teachers' Day, at Şemsi Paşa, Atatürk's Teacher

On the occasion of Teachers' Day on November 24, the Health, Culture, and Sports Directorate of Üsküdar University visited the grave of Şemsi Paşa Hocası, one of the first teachers of the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
Representing a life dedicated to education, Şemsi Paşa played an important role in Atatürk's primary education and left a valuable mark on Turkish educational history. On this special day, prayers were offered and he was honored at his grave with respect, in order to once again remember the sanctity of the teaching profession and the meaningful legacy of Atatürk's title of "Chief Teacher."
During the visit, emphasis was placed on the social value of the teaching profession; gratitude was expressed to all teachers who have worked hard and guided the way with their light from the past to the present.
As Üsküdar University, we once again respectfully celebrate Teachers' Day for all teachers who educate future generations.
