In-depth Analysis on Lacan's Theories by Psychology Club

The Psychology Club, affiliated to the Department of Health, Culture and Sports of our university, organized an academic event titled "Understanding Lacan" on January 2, 2025. The event, which took place in the Eflatun Adam Hall in Block E of the South Campus, was attended by a group of 30 participants consisting of club management, members and students interested in psychoanalysis.

In the event, which took place with the participation of the club management and members, the thoughts of the famous French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan were discussed in detail. Lacan, who reinterpreted Freud's ideas within the framework of linguistics, philosophy and cultural theories, analyzed and discussed human experience on three planes: real, imaginary and symbolic.

The face-to-face event was interactive and allowed the participants to exchange ideas about Lacan's theories. Students interested in the field of psychoanalysis stated that the event improved their academic perspectives and expressed their wish to continue such studies in the future.

The Psychology Club will continue to contribute to students academically with events on psychoanalysis, cognitive psychology and human behavior.
