Üsküdar University Journalism Club, affiliated to the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, held an important event on November 11, 2024 at the Fatih Press Museum, which reflects the historical texture of Istanbul. This event, which was held under the title of "Past and Present of Journalism", was completed with the intense interest of 25 participants. Club members gained an important experience by seeing the historical development of the journalism profession in our country.

The aim of the event was to explain to the participants the process of journalism from its beginnings in our country until today and to convey the transformations experienced in this profession. Thanks to the newspaper archives, old printing machines and historical documents in the Fatih Press Museum, the participants had the opportunity to examine the periodical development of journalism.

The Fatih Press Museum is known as one of the rare museums that houses the legacy of journalism from the Ottoman Period to the Republic. Throughout the trip, club members experienced the historical process of journalism with instant details and learned about important events affecting the journalism profession on site.

At the end of the event, the participants expressed their opinions and stated that they learned many details they did not know about the journalism profession.
