Üsküdar University History Club organized an event commemorating Atatürk
Üsküdar University History Club, affiliated to the Department of Health, Culture and Sports, organized a meaningful event on the 86th anniversary of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's death. On November 11, 2024, the event, held in the garden area of the South Campus of the university, offered participants the opportunity to commemorate Atatürk's legacy.
The event started with a moment of silence and the National Anthem. Then, Atatürk's address to the youth was read on the Turkish nation's path to independence and modernization. Adem Büyükyiğit, President of the History Club, Ömer Kütük, Vice President of the Club and Merve Bakacak, Secretary General of the Club also took the floor and emphasized Atatürk's contributions to the Turkish nation and world history.
The event was attended by 35-40 people. The participants showed great interest in the event and showed deep respect throughout the event. This meaningful event organized in memory of Atatürk raised awareness among the students and was highly appreciated.
At the end of the event, the participants stated that the event was very successful and that Atatürk's legacy should be remembered more among young people. The History Club stated that it will continue to aim to raise social awareness with such events.
