Nakbe History Discussed
On May 20, 2024, Üsküdar University Jerusalem Club hosted an important event to commemorate and discuss the History of Naqba, which has an important place in the historical memory of the Palestinian people. The event was organized by the Jerusalem Club under the Üsküdar University Department of Health, Culture and Sports, and the participants included prominent names such as Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar University, Osman Çerezci, Dean of Üsküdar University MBDF, Dr. Abdurrahman Elferra and Journalist Dr. Mohammad Abu Taqiya.
The event took place at Üsküdar University Central Campus A Block Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall. The participants of the meeting discussed in depth the meaning and effects of the Nakba Date, which is an important turning point in the history of Palestine. Sadık Paksoy, the event manager of Üsküdar University Health, Culture and Sports Department, emphasized the difficulties and struggles of the Palestinian people and shared the bitter memories of Palestine's loss of its land.
Dr. Abdurrahman Elferra provided an in-depth understanding of the Palestinian past, while Journalist Dr. Mohammad Abu Taqiya stressed the role of the media and the importance of accurately telling the story of the Palestinian people. Participants emphasized the need to respect the rights of the Palestinian people and not to deny its history.
The event provided a fascinating platform for discussion and knowledge sharing among the participants, who reaffirmed their support for the struggle of the Palestinian people.
